Overview of the Online Certificate in Life Coaching

You can equip people to achieve fulfillment and success in various facets of life – from personal relationships to career goals. The Life Coaching certificate program will set you on a path to become a certified life coach under the globally recognized International Coaching Federation (ICF). This program provides:
- Online and onsite program options
- Hands-on curriculum
- Completion in approximately 7 months
To meet ICF standards, this program requires synchronous meetings once a week for at least 2 hours to ensure students accrue the 60+ hours needed of face-to-face training by a professional coach.
Coaching skills have steadily grown in popularity in recent years. From March 2020 to February 2021, there were more than 200,000 job postings that listed life coaching as a desired skill. IWU’s Life Coaching certificate can be a stepping-stone to new leadership opportunities or a launching point for a career in professional coaching.

TUITION

Applicable fees for resources and services will be assessed throughout the program. Tuition and fees for prerequisites and required elective courses are in addition to the charges shown on the program cost sheet. Your tuition rate will remain the same as long as you remain continuously enrolled in the same program. REQUIREMENTS

- Accepted as a regular degree-seeking student or as an unclassified student. Unclassified student requires proof of high school graduation.
- Three recommendations – at least one from a supervisor/professional.
- Applicants whose application documents demonstrate potential for success in the life coaching academic certificate will be invited to participate in a personal interview.

Completion Requirements
- Completion of all required courses
- Nine of the credits must be earned at IWU for degree-seeking students
- Minimum grade of "C" in each course
- Payment of all tuition and fees in required to receive the certificate
