Official transcripts are required from the graduate degree-granting institution. Indiana Wesleyan University will accept for its permanent file only those transcripts sent in a sealed envelope directly to IWU by the registrar of the attended institution(s). Official transcripts must exhibit the official seal and signature of the registrar. Transcripts that are stamped “student copy,” “issued to student,” or “unofficial” cannot be accepted as official.
College Transcripts from Non-U.S. SchoolsFor college transcripts from non-U.S. schools, secure a “Course-by-Course Report” from Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE). Be sure to request that the report be sent directly to us at the address below. The evaluation must list course-by-course hours and grades.
Submit a copy of your current teaching license.
Submit a one-page typewritten statement explaining your professional experience and why you desire to pursue a P – 12 Building Level Administrator’s license through Indiana Wesleyan University. Additionally, discuss your potential, strengths, and passion to pursue a rigorous preparation program leading to qualification as a school leader. Give particular attention to the clarity of your ideas, organization of the paper, sentence fluency, and the conventions of written expression.
Submit two letters of recommendation from school leaders (superintendent, principal, or assistant principal) who are qualified to judge your knowledge, skills, and dispositions in relation to pursuing the P – 12 Building Level Administrator’s license.
