Ohio Teacher Leadership Endorsement

To satisfy Ohio's teacher leadership requirement the School of Educational Leadership at IWU is offering 9 credit hours at the post-master's level for those teachers who wish to apply for the teacher leadership endorsement in the state of Ohio.  The 9 credit hours required for the teacher leadership endorsement would be completed following conferral of the advanced degree and would be able to be verified by Ohio via University transcript.

These courses have been designed to extend individual candidate learning with regard to becoming a teacher leader within their stated content area specialization. Upon completion of these three, 3 credit hour courses, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to improve P-12 student achievement within their content area of expertise.

These courses are also designed to teach and to assess the TLMS.  A summary of the alignment between the courses and the TLMS are charted below.  For additional information please contact Deana Simpkins at deana.simpkins@indwes.edu
