  • Requirements

    Admission Requirements

    1. A baccalaureate or graduate degree from a college or university accredited by a regional accrediting body or by the Association for Biblical Higher Education, verified on official transcripts sent by the institution directly to Indiana Wesleyan University.
    2. An undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or higher from the baccalaureate degree-granting institution at which a minimum of 30 credit hours was completed.
    3. Public school candidates need:
      • A valid (but not necessarily current) state teaching license.
      • At least one year (i.e., one semester and one day) of teaching experience.
      • Supporting documentation demonstrating access to a P – 12 classroom.
    4. ACSI, FACCS, and FCCS candidates need:
      • An Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (FACCS), or Florida Coalition of Christian Schools (FCCS) valid (but not necessarily current) temporary, standard, or professional teaching license or certificate.
      • At least one year (i.e., one semester and one day) of teaching experience, under contract and performed in a classroom.
      • Supporting documentation demonstrating access to a P – 12 classroom.
    NOTE: All candidates need access to a P – 12 classroom for the purpose of completing required field experiences associated with the Master of Education program.

    Graduation Requirements

    1. Successful completion of the M.Ed. 30-credit-hour core curriculum.
    2. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above in all graduate work and a minimum grade of “C” in each course.
    3. Satisfactory completion of the Applied Master's Portfolio as a culminating project.
    4. Payment of all tuition and fees.

    Onsite Computer Requirements
