MASTER OF EDUCATION – SPECIAL EDUCATION

For those seeking special education graduate programs, the Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Special Education program is offered in an online format and may also be offered at locations in Indiana. The program is designed for practicing classroom special education teachers seeking an advanced degree in special education. Candidates will complete a 33 credit hour online Master's in Special Education program which aligns to the Council of Exceptional Children’s standards for working with special needs children. Courses are designed to provide participants with methods and materials to serve special needs students through mild and moderate intervention. Prior to applying to the program, candidates are responsible for being knowledgeable of the licensure requirements of their state and whether or not the major they’ve selected will satisfy the requirements of the state for which the candidate may be seeking additional licensure.
