MASTER OF EDUCATION – SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION
ONLINE OR ONSITE
The Master of Education (M.Ed.) in School Administration program is offered in an online format and may also be offered at locations in Indiana. The program is designed for practicing classroom teachers seeking an advanced degree in education and who wish to earn their Indiana building level administrator’s license. Candidates will complete a 33 credit hour M.Ed. program which aligns to the Educational Leadership Constituent Council (ELCC) standards and the state of Indiana Department of Education’s (IDOE’s) building level administrator standards. The school administration major satisfies Indiana’s required program of study for a building level administrator’s license.
The Professional Education Unit at Indiana Wesleyan University is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), 2010 Massachusetts Ave. N.W., Suite 500, Washington, DC 20036 (202-466-7496), the organization responsible for professional accreditation of teacher education. The Master of Education program may be completed online, or onsite (with online components) at various locations in Indiana and Ohio.
