MASTER OF EDUCATION IN CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION
The Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum & Instruction program is offered in an online format and may also be offered at locations in Indiana. The program is designed for practicing classroom teachers seeking an advanced degree in curriculum and instruction. Candidates will complete a 33 credit hour M.Ed. program which emphasizes constructivist approaches to teaching and learning, emphasizing teacher leadership and teacher efficacy. Courses are designed to provide participants with methods and materials they can use to help their own students learn, including the latest available technology. Instruction is designed to model best practices and procedures in the classroom.
Prior to applying to the program, candidates are responsible for being knowledgeable of the licensure requirements of their state and whether or not the major they’ve selected will satisfy the requirements of the state for which the candidate may be seeking additional licensure.

The accreditation covers initial and advanced educator preparation programs. CAEP is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation to accredit programs for the preparation of teachers and other professional school personnel.
