Sharon Drury earned the Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University in Virginia, before serving as dean for the College of Adult and Professional Studies. She has been at IWU for over 16 years, is published, and often presents at academic conferences. Dr. Drury now teaches Advanced Leadership and Organizational Design courses as a full-time professor in the Ed.D. program in Organizational Leadership. Her husband is Dr. Keith Drury and they have two married sons and five grandchildren.

Dr. Drury's publications include a book about adult education programs, a chapter on lifelong learning, another on gender and holiness, plus journal articles on developing women as leaders. She often presents at academic conferences on organizational leadership topics. Her research agenda includes an emphasis on servant leadership and followership in organizations, in addition to chairing dissertation committees for doctoral students.
