    About the Program

Indiana Wesleyan University’s Bachelor of Science with a major in Business Information Systems degree program is designed for working professionals who are employed in businesses or public organizations. The curriculum enables graduates to assist and lead in the planning, development, and operation of information systems. Such systems are used to streamline and automate processes, solve problems, and provide communication channels. The program stresses skill development in the areas of analytical thinking, communication, object-oriented programming, database management systems, networking, security, and Web development, with an emphasis on developing the skills necessary for successfully implementing and supporting computer and information systems. The program also helps develop the skills necessary to serve as a liaison between management and information technology departments.

Graduates of this program may find employment as database administrators, systems analysts, computer support analysts, or programmer-analysts.

The program may be completed online, or onsite at various locations in Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio. A minor in Information Technology is also available to Indiana and online students who are pursuing a non-Business Information Systems bachelor's degree through IWU.

If you have not yet obtained your associate degree but already have 36 to 59 credit hours of previous college coursework, IWU’s unique Bridge program can allow you to immediately start working toward your bachelor's degree. Feel free to contact us at 866-IWU-4-YOU for more information.
