    About the Program

God’s call on your life to engage in Christian Ministries may appear on the horizon like Mt. Everest. Its majesty and wonder fill the sky, but the enormity of the challenge is overwhelming. Climbing that mountain — or moving it — is impossible for us alone, but it can be done through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). We need a firm foundation in Christ and in the sacred text of the Scriptures, and we also need tools of life and leadership in order to do effective ministry.

Indiana Wesleyan University’s Associate of Science with a major in Christian Ministries degree program gives students an understanding of a Christian worldview and biblical morality from a Wesleyan-Arminian perspective. Graduates will be prepared to undertake entry-level ministry positions in Christian churches and para-church organizations, or to proceed on to bachelor-level work in Ministry or Biblical Studies. The program meets many academic and practicum requirements for licensing and/or ordination in many denominations. Within The Wesleyan Church, the degree fulfills four of six academic requirements for District Licensure and more than half of the academic requirements for ordination.

The program may be completed online, or onsite at locations in Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.

Significant discounts are available for pastors! See the Costs and Financial Aid page for more details.
