Meet Liz

When I first came to IWU, it was to pursue a nursing degree, but even after changing majors, I could never imagine leaving. I know now that it was always God's plan for me to come here. I am working on a degree in psychology, and plan to attend grad school after I finish.

Spiritual growth is a huge part of my journey at IWU. I am part of a small group, and love seeing people striving to follow the Lord. Being surrounded with a great spiritual atmosphere is such a blessing. I have grown at IWU because of the encouragement and support of my brothers and sisters in Christ. I have tried to take advantage of every opportunity available while here, including traveling

to Israel with Dr. Wilbur Williams, a long-time professor and legend on the IWU campus.

Building relationships is a huge part of why I love IWU. The best thing I've done here is make friends that I'll have for a lifetime. Living in Shatford my freshman year was wonderful! The people you live with and spend time with on campus become like a second family.

If you are an incoming freshman, please know that you will always be welcome on campus. Everyone is so warm and friendly. Also, be prepared to grow spiritually. There are so many opportunities in chapel and small groups and in your hall.
