My hometown of Valparaiso is a little over two hours away from campus, but I am grateful to have a second place to call home. At IWU, I found a place where I am surrounded by God-loving peers and professors.
After visiting IWU for the first time, I was very impressed with everything I saw and heard. The campus is beautiful, the people are great, and it is very Christ-centered. Even in my residence hall, the dorm leader are really encouraging and supportive.
I have a lot of homework because of my two majors, but I still know how to have fun. The best thing I've done at IWU is participating in all the events.
The Student Activities Council knows how to throw a good party—the Spotted Cow Music Festival, the Luau, Rebash, the weekly music venue of Crema, and homecoming activities. Aside from organized events, I enjoy doing many other fun things with my friends, including sand volleyball and campus golf, a game played with golf clubs, tennis balls, and a student-made course strategically plotted throughout campus.
The most important thing that it all comes back to is caring. The people at IWU really care. There are tons of fun activities and clubs to get involved in. The professors are kind. We have great academics with lots of spiritual emphasis.
