Biography

Kent has been a full-time faculty member in the Division of Business since the fall of 1995. His main areas of teaching responsibilities include accounting, entrepreneurship and business ethics. After completing an M.B.A. in Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation from Ball State University, he was instrumental in developing and launching the Entrepreneurship major at IWU in the fall of 2005. Prior to his tenure at IWU, he held several corporate accounting and tax positions.

Interests

Kent is the Chair of the Indiana CPA Society’s Board of Directors. He previously served as the Chair of the Indiana CPA Society's Professional Ethics Committee. He is also a member of the AICPA and currently serves on the AICPA's Council.  Over the last several years, he has been involved with issues related to the future of competency in the accounting profession, the accounting professions responsibility to the public, and has presented at conferences on ethics related to the accounting profession.
