The Rev. Dr. Kyle Huckins has more than a decade of experience in three major areas: education, journalism and ministry. He taught at both secular and Christian universities before coming to Indiana Wesleyan University. His journalistic career includes time spent writing and reporting for newspapers, magazines, radio, television and the Internet, with his news and information reports winning several major awards. He is an ordained, licensed elder in the Church of God in Christ.

The Rev. Dr. Kyle Huckins' research mainly concerns the intersection of religion and media, a growing research field. He has published his findings in prestigious journals such as Journalism and Mass Communication Quarterly and the Journal of Media and Religion. He serves as an editorial board member of the Journal of Media and Religion and is past head of the Religion and Media Interest Group of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication.
