Anita Manwell has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from IWU and a Master of Science from Indiana University, Kokomo. Recently admitted to candidacy for the Doctor of Education at Ball State University, Anita is currently working on her dissertation.
Anita brings 15 years of public school teaching experience from both self-contained and departmentalized settings. Her work with third graders and sixth graders and as a Title I coordinator enhances her role in the Teacher Education Program. At IWU, she challenges preservice teachers to develop theoretical and pedagogical understanding through classroom instruction and supervision. Her passion for literacy is evident in the courses she teaches, which include Language Arts Methods, Developmental Reading, and Literacy in Diverse Settings.
