Biography

Dr. Long began as an adjunct staff member several years ago and matriculated to full-time status. Working with Dr. Larry Lindsay and others, he helped establish the concepts and framework and wrote the courses for the original Principal Licensure Program. He also led the development of the Ed.S. program. He served in the public schools in Indiana for more than 30 years and then moved into the university setting. He is married to Carol Long (46 years) and has three sons and nine grandchildren.

Interests

Dr. Long is the author of three books and is presently working on another. He also serves corporations as a presenter of professional development activities and as a motivational speaker and facilitator of strategic planning. Dr. Long has served on several doctoral committees and is presently chairing a committee in the Department of Leadership program.
