FACULTY
Gifted faculty are a key to any program. The faculty in the Division of Art at IWU are a vibrant and progressive community of professional artists, designers, historians and scholars. Eleven full-time faculty members bring a richness and depth of academic experience to the classroom and reflect the University’s continued commitment to the Art program. You will find that these professors are not just “teachers” but are also producing artists with numerous awards and national recognition. More than 80 percent of the faculty have or are completing terminal degrees.
A crucial philosophy of the Art faculty is the importance of relationship-based teaching. The professor/student contact does not end when the class period is over. Mentoring and individual relationships have impacted many of our students’ lives throughout their tenure at the University.
