From Chicago/Gary, IN area (approximately 210 miles, 4 hours)
Take I-80/I-94 east to I-65 south. Take I-65 to US-30 east (exit 253/Merrillville). Go east on US-30 for 63 miles to US-31, just beyond Plymouth. Turn right (south) and go 42 miles to US-24. Turn left (east/Peru) and go 14 miles to SR-15 in Wabash. Turn right (south) and go 22 miles to IWU, which is on the south side of Marion.
SR-15 borders IWU’s campus on its north side (E. 38th St.) and again on its east side (S. Adams St.). At the first stop light after turning onto 38th St., turn right (south) onto S. Washington St. Go approximately four blocks to the IWU main west entrance, which is University Blvd. Turn left (east) and go to the first stop sign. The building on your left, the Maxwell Center, has visitor parking in front. The Admissions Office is just inside the lobby, on your right.
From Fort Wayne (approximately 70 miles, 1 hour and 15 minutes)
Take I-69 south to SR-22/US-35 (exit 59). Turn right (west) at the bottom of the off ramp and go through Gas City on SR-22/US-35. Turn right (north) onto SR-15 (just across the river beyond Gas City) and go two miles to IWU.
SR-15 borders IWU's campus on its east side (S. Adams St.) and again on its north side (E. 38th St.). IWU's main east entrance is on the left (west) side of Adams St. (one block beyond 45th St.). Turn left (west) onto University Blvd. and turn left again at the stop sign 100 yards ahead. Continue on University Blvd, around the Phillippe Performing Arts Center to the next stop sign and turn right (west) to continue on University Blvd. Go to the second stop sign (Harmon Street) and turn right (north) into the parking lot of the Maxwell Center. Visitors may park in front of the building. The Admissions Office is just inside the lobby, on your right.
From Indianapolis (approximately 75 miles, 1 hour and 15 minutes)
Take I-465 around Indianapolis to the northeast corner of the city. I-69 begins at this location and heads north toward Fort Wayne. Take I-69 to SR-22 (exit 59). Turn left (west) at the bottom of the off ramp and go through Gas City on SR-22/US-35. Turn right (north) onto SR-15 (just across the river beyond Gas City) and go two miles to IWU.
